Professional installation and first-class support
We've had two engagements with Kimble - the first, when they performed the initial installation of 12 panels and a battery at the end of 2024, and the second to add a second battery, a gateway device (keeps the power on when the grid fails) and a Zappi EV charger.
Immediately after the second installation I wrote to Kimble, saying:
"I want to recognise the skill and professionalism of 'A' (name removed for privacy) who was onsite for the whole installation. He kept us informed of the progress, consulted us on questions of device placement, cable routing and the like, and was a pleasure to work with. He was ably supported by other team members, so thanks also to 'B', 'J1', 'J2' and 'M'"
In the aftermath Kimble has continued to provide excellent technical support.

We had been thinking about installing a solar set up for some time, and KimbleTech came very well recommended by our neighbours and by a friend who used to work with them.
The information was really good before the installation, and the installation itself was  done quickly and efficiently.
The after sales info was also very good and the team were helpful with helping us to decide which tariff to go for with our supplier.
All in all we are very pleased with the kit, and we now have a new hobby watching the app.
I wish we had gone for one or two less panels and got a second battery instead, as we have since realised that might have been a good idea. However, we will save up and get one in the future at some point.

Very efficent and we are very happy with the set up

Excellent service and life changing solar installation. 

      Kimble did a very good job on our solar and battery installation. But most importantly for us, their after care has been excellent. Excellent service from the first conversation to aftercare

We had 13 solar panels, a battery and an inverter installed by KimbleTech in September, and our experience has been excellent throughout.

Rob looked after us on the sales side and was professional, attentive and very helpful. He checked in regularly throughout the process, and we always felt well supported. The installers did a superb job, with everything fitted neatly and the site left very tidy.

The aftercare has been equally impressive, particularly the guidance on charging our EVs and making sense of the cheaper overnight electricity tariffs. We’ve just sent our certificates to our electricity supplier and hope to start benefiting from export payments soon.

Although the system has only been installed a short time, our bills have already reduced and everything is going really well.

I just want to say a massive thank you to the team at Kimble.  They have been amazing throughout the whole process.

I approached four companies for quotes.  One is a massive, well-known energy provider, but they did not even bother to send someone out to do an actual survey, and provided a very half-hearted proposal that doesn't remotely address our needs.  Another company is basically a one-man band, who put together a proposal but then disappeared after I asked for clarification on a couple requirements.  The third is a company comparable to Kimble in size - they did a survey but took 2+ months to prepare a proposal..... and by that time Kimble has almost got the whole system up and running!

Yes - from start to finish, it took barely more than 2 months from the initial survey, presentation of the proposal, DNO application, then finally the installation.  The team has been efficient, responsive and transparent every step of the way.  I now have a 7kW system which I am very happy with.  I want to thank Arlo, Rachel, Bec, and Rob in particular for all their help.  Whenever I had questions, they have been super quick to come back to me. I have had Kimble Solar install Air2Air heat pumps, solar panels and batteries. I can totally recommend Kimble, all of their trades have been excellent and ensured a high quality result.
The Air2Air (air conditioning) required holes to be drilled in each of the rooms. The installers cleared up after themselves and no further vacuuming was required. A very neat installation.
The solar panel installers did a neat job centring the panels on each roof space and attaching anti-bird netting closing the gaps between panels and roof.
The electricians installing the inverter and battery stacks and wiring everything up did a neat job. The equipment is neatly laid out and the wiring between it all and the consumer units is very neat and tidy.
The technical design person was very patient and took into account my requirements and changing views on what the emergency power supply outlet from the inverter should power. The final result is exactly what I wanted.

      Having looked at solar in the autumn of 2025 I couldn’t decide which company to go with so I dropped the idea for the time being. In early 2026 I did another search for solar companies and was recommended 3 companies to look at including Kimble Solar which had been awarded Which? 2025 renewable installer of the year. This was where the Kimble journey started. An appointment was made with Brent in February who spent several hours doing a complete survey, including a drone of the roof and a presentation of what could be done including costs and potential production and returns from the system. For my consumption, it was suggested that 8 panels would suffice but I decided to fill the roof with 14 panels along with 6Kwh inverter and a 9.04Kwh battery. Scaffold went up by Maguire’s Scaffolding and the installation took place in mid April. Jason and Manny were on the roof and Ash and Mark installing the electrical work. All was completed by mid afternoon so it was up and running. Everyone was hard working leaving everything tidy on completion and they were all pleasant people to have around. It is now 4 months since the installation and it is producing far more than Brent’s calculation but it has been clear and sunny. The office team were always available keeping me informed all the way through even beyond installation and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone involved from start to finish were excellent. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending all at Kimble Solar
